The adjuster said no. We say try again.

Insurance companies underpay roof claims. We meet your adjuster on the roof, document every shingle, write the scope, and file supplements when needed. Most denied claims become approved claims when a contractor walks the roof with the adjuster.

What We Do

Your roofer should be in the room. Most aren't.

A field adjuster on a roof for 15 minutes will miss damage a roofer would see in 60 seconds. Hail bruising on the back slope. Wind uplift at the eaves. Step-flashing failures around the chimney. We walk every claim with the adjuster, point out what's there, and write a complete scope of work — not the carrier's templated line items. When the carrier underpays, we file a supplement with photos, code citations, and a structural rationale they have to address.

The Process

Five steps. From storm to settled.

01

Free Inspection

We walk the roof, fly the drone, document everything. You get a written report with photos before you ever talk to your insurer.

02

File the Claim

If damage warrants it, we help you file. Many homeowners file too early or with too little documentation. We don't.

03

Adjuster Meeting

We meet the adjuster on the roof. Walk the damage together. Take parallel photos. Reference Texas wind and code requirements.

04

Write the Scope

We write a complete scope of work in the format your carrier uses (Xactimate). Every line item priced to local market rates.

05

Build & Settle

You get a check, we do the work, supplements filed for any change orders. Final invoice matches the approved scope. No surprises.

+

If Denied

We don't take "no" for an answer. Re-inspections, public adjuster referrals, appraisal clause, attorney referrals — every option is on the table.

Carriers

We've worked with every Texas carrier.

Each carrier has their own claim culture. State Farm trusts contractor scopes. Allstate underpays on labor. Farmers fights on supplements. USAA usually pays fairly. Knowing the carrier’s playbook is half the job — that’s why we attend the adjuster meeting and write a parallel scope before the inspection ends.

  • State FarmTexas's largest homeowner insurer
  • AllstateOften underpays on labor; supplement-heavy
  • FarmersCode upgrade fights are common
  • USAAGenerally fair; smooth process
  • Liberty MutualVariable depending on adjuster
  • TravelersStrong on wind, weak on hail
  • Texas Farm BureauLocal; slower but fair
  • Progressive / LemonadeNewer to TX; documentation-heavy
Why Claims Get Denied

Five reasons. All five are fightable.

×

"Pre-existing damage"

Counter: Maintenance records, neighbor claims from same storm, satellite imagery before/after.

×

"Cosmetic only"

Counter: Granule loss test, manufacturer specs on impact ratings, Texas code on storm restoration.

×

"Below deductible"

Counter: Complete scope including code upgrades, ventilation, decking, often clears deductible.

×

"Wear and tear"

Counter: Side-by-side comparison of damaged vs undamaged slopes, age-vs-condition documentation.

×

"Repair, not replace"

Counter: Matching shingle availability, manufacturer discontinuation letters, slope-by-slope breakdown.

The Appeal

If your claim was denied or underpaid, we'll re-inspect for free and give you a second-opinion report you can use either way.

Questions

Asked & answered.

Do I have to pay you upfront?
No. The inspection and adjuster meeting are free. We don't get paid until you do — our payment comes from the insurance proceeds based on the approved scope. The only money out of your pocket is your deductible, which goes toward the work.
Will filing a claim raise my premium?
Storm and hail damage claims in Texas typically don't raise premiums on individual policies — they're considered "Acts of God." Repeat claims (3+ in 5 years) can flag your account. We help you decide whether the damage is worth claiming before you file.
How long does the whole process take?
Inspection: 24–48 hours. Adjuster meeting: 1–3 weeks after filing. Approval: 1–4 weeks after meeting. Construction: 1–4 weeks. Supplements (if needed): another 2–6 weeks. Most full claims close in 60–90 days.
What if my claim was already denied?
Bring it to us. We'll re-inspect for free, write a second-opinion report, and tell you honestly whether the denial holds water. If it doesn't, we have several paths: supplemental claim, re-inspection request, the appraisal clause in your policy, or attorney referral. Most denials we see are reversible.
Can I just give you my insurance check and let you handle it?
Yes. Many homeowners do exactly that. We work directly with your carrier, supplement when needed, and deliver the finished roof. You sign one document at the start and another at the end.
What's a "supplement" and why does it matter?
A supplement is an addition to the original claim — for damage the adjuster missed, code requirements they didn't price, or hidden damage discovered during construction (like rotted decking under the shingles). Carriers expect supplements; honest contractors file them. We file an average of 2–3 supplements per major claim, recovering an extra $1,500–$8,000 per project.
