First 24 Hours

What to do right now.

The difference between a $4,000 fix and a $40,000 rebuild is what happens in the first day. Water that gets into the attic compounds — drywall, insulation, framing, electrical. Photo evidence collected before tarping is your insurance leverage. Here's the order.

  1. 1

    Stay safe.

Don't climb the roof. Don't enter rooms with sagging ceilings. Active electrical lines plus water is a kill scenario — kill the breaker if water is reaching outlets.

  2. 2

    Photograph everything.

From the ground, the yard, the attic. Before any tarping or moving anything. Time-stamped photos are claim gold. Take 50, not 5.

  3. 3

    Call us.

    (832) 803-0984 · 24/7. We dispatch a tarp crew. Tarping is free if you let us handle the full repair; otherwise we tarp at cost.

  4. 4

    File the claim.

Don't wait for our inspection — file the same day. Carriers track timeliness. Tell them a contractor is documenting and an adjuster meeting is needed.

  5. 5

    Don't sign anything yet.

Storm-chaser contractors will hand you a contract within 6 hours. Don't sign. Get a real local roofer's full scope before committing to anything.

What We Do

From the call to the scope.

01

Phone Triage

Real human, 24/7. We assess severity over the phone, dispatch tarp crews if active leakage, schedule next-day full inspection otherwise.

02

Tarp & Stabilize

Heavy-duty tarps, properly anchored. Not duct-taped plastic sheeting. We document the damage in detail before tarping covers it up.

03

Drone & Roof Walk

Aerial footage, slope-by-slope walk, written report with photos. Delivered within 48 hours. Yours to keep regardless of what you do next.

04

Adjuster Coordination

We meet your adjuster on the roof. Walk the damage. Write the scope. More on the insurance side →

05

Full Restoration

Roof, gutters, siding, fascia, windows — whatever the storm took. Same crew, one project manager, start to walk-through.

+

Cleanup

Magnetic nail sweep, dumpster removed same day, landscape restored. You shouldn't find a single nail in your driveway. (Ask Priya R.)

Storm Chaser Warning

Don't sign with a stranger. Ever.

After every Houston storm, out-of-state "storm chaser" contractors flood neighborhoods. They want a quick contract and an insurance check. They leave town in 6 weeks with your warranty. Real local roofers will be here in 10 years when the next storm hits. We're in Houston.

Questions

Asked & answered.

How fast can you get here?
Inner Loop, typically same day for active leak situations. Greater Houston suburbs, next-day for tarping unless conditions are unsafe. Full inspections schedule within 48 hours. We won't promise an exact time on the phone — Houston is too big and storms are too unpredictable for that — but we don't miss calls and we don't ghost.
How much does emergency tarping cost?
Free if you proceed with full repair through us. Otherwise it's at-cost — typically $400–$1,200 depending on damage size and access. Tarping cost is reimbursable through most insurance policies under "loss mitigation" — keep the receipt.
Should I file the claim before or after you inspect?
File same-day. Don't wait for us. Carriers track how quickly you report. You can give them an estimate range over the phone — "extensive damage, contractor inspecting tomorrow" — and update them with our scope.
What if the damage is worse than my deductible but not catastrophic?
A complete scope including code upgrades (drip edge, ice-and-water shield, ventilation) often turns a "below deductible" inspection into a fully covered claim. Don't accept the first verbal estimate. Get a written contractor scope.
The storm chaser at my door is offering a free roof. What's the catch?
The "free roof" pitch is usually one of three things: (1) inflated scope to absorb your deductible illegally — that's insurance fraud and you can be left holding the bag; (2) cheap materials and no warranty; (3) they'll be 800 miles away when you need them. Real roofs are not free. Real warranties only matter if the company is local in 5 years.
